Protecting your privacy is important to us. In accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), this policy explains which personal data Mobigo collects, why, and what your rights are.
1. Controller

2. Data collected
- Browsing: IP address, date and time, pages viewed, browser and device type (server log files, necessary for security and proper operation of the site).
- Contact / booking form: name, email address, phone number, message, vehicle concerned and, for a rental, the desired dates.
- Posting a listing: name, email address, phone number, description and photos of the vehicle, price, location.
- User account: first name, last name, email address, phone number and password (stored in encrypted form).
- Payment: online payments are processed by Stripe; Mobigo neither sees nor stores card numbers and only receives the status and amount of the transaction.
- Searches: search criteria entered in the catalogue (not linked to an identified person).
3. Purposes
- Providing the service: publishing and displaying listings, forwarding your requests to advertisers or to Mobigo.
- Replying to your messages and managing booking requests.
- Moderating listings, preventing abuse and fraud, ensuring the security of the site.
- Complying with our legal obligations.
Data is neither sold nor used for third-party marketing.
4. Recipients
Your data is accessible to Onebiz Solutions Sàrl and, where relevant, to the advertiser of the vehicle your request concerns. It may be processed by technical service providers bound by confidentiality obligations (hosting provider, email delivery service, site maintenance, Swiss Media Pro, the payment provider Stripe, whose servers may be located outside Switzerland). Contact details published in a listing are visible to all visitors.
Bookings and carpooling: when you make a request (rental or carpool seat), your name, email, phone number and message are sent by email to the owner or driver concerned so that they can accept or decline it. Conversely, their contact details (name, email, phone number) are only shared with you if your request is accepted. An owner’s or driver’s contact details are never displayed publicly.
5. Transfers abroad
If a provider is located outside Switzerland, we ensure that an appropriate level of protection is guaranteed, in particular through standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision by the Federal Council.
5a. Help chat and messages to an advisor
The chat answers automatically from a list of frequently asked questions: questions typed in this mode are not stored. If you write to an advisor, the name, email and message you enter are sent by email to Onebiz Solutions Sàrl and kept to handle your request (24 months at most).
5b. Leasing and insurance requests
If you request a leasing or insurance offer, the data entered (identity, contact details, vehicle concerned, message) is passed to Onebiz Solutions Sàrl and then, with your express consent, to the partner concerned (sos-financement.ch for leasing, sos-assurances.ch for insurance), which processes it under its own responsibility to prepare the offer. Mobigo is not a party to the leasing or insurance contract. For insurance, you may attach documents (driving licence, vehicle registration document, current policy, claims record): they are transmitted confidentially, stored in a non-public area of the server and automatically deleted after 60 days.
6. Retention
Contact requests are kept for 24 months at most after the last exchange. Listings and their data remain online until withdrawn, then are deleted or archived at the latest 12 months later. Log files are kept for 12 months at most. Some data may be kept longer if required by law.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (encrypted connection, access control, updates) to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure. No transmission over the Internet is, however, completely secure.
8. Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, its rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, its transfer (portability), or object to processing, within the limits of the law. To exercise these rights, write to us at info@mobigo.ch enclosing proof of your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch.
9. Visitors from the European Union
For persons located in the EU/EEA, processing is based on performance of the requested service, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, or your consent where required. The rights described above also apply.
10. Changes
We may amend this policy, in particular if the site or the law changes. The online version prevails.
